Pregnancy Prep

Planning on getting pregnant in the next few years?

Pregnancy Prep is important to rid your body of harmful toxins prior to conception and to best prepare your body for the amazing journey of pregnancy and motherhood.

All “dis-ease” can be explained by
internal deficiencies and imbalances
& mothers can pass these on to their babies both during pregnancy
and when nursing.

A few key steps can jumpstart you on your way to optimizing your health:

1. At Home Lab Testing

2. Commit to a 21-Day Detox or Elimination Diet

3. Short term Protocols to rebalance the gut, eradicate parasites, or eliminate harmful heavy metals

3. Make a few Lifestyle adjustments to fit YOUR life and support optimal internal balance

After my second birth I went searching for answers.

I was tired of feeling burned out, cranky, and unable to keep up with my toddler. My skin started rapidly aging and I couldn’t lose the postpartum weight.

This doesn’t have to be you.
With proper preparation you can create an optimal, balanced & healthy body to be able to nurture a baby and be prepared for the health needed for both the pregnancy and postpartum.

Through IHPI - Integrative Health Practitioner Institute - I discovered the truth to health that I didn’t know existed.

Everything truly comes down to 2 core causes:
imbalances & toxicities.

I was able to:

  • lose 30+ pounds
    (back to my healthy weight!)

  • reverse my neuropathy

  • clear the brain fog

  • get rid of skin bumps

  • & feel my energy return.

Skin is the slowest to recover, but the aging has reversed and I am slowly smoothing out my wrinkles and clearing up the dark skin patches!

Read on to find what I learned,
what I know to do before my next birth,
and how I now help others find their HAPPY HEALTHY,
    prior to conception.

Toxic buildup

Toxins from food, water, air, and personal care products can build up in the body over time, especially if detox pathways are sluggish and low in key nutrients.

Common toxins include

  • Heavy Metals (like mercury, aluminum and lead)

  • Pesticides

  • Plastics (like BPA)

  • Mold toxins

  • & bacterial or yeast overgrowth

These chemicals can disrupt hormones, stress the liver, and inflame the gut leading to fertility issues, depleted energy stores, gut dysbiosis or leaky gut, and a lowered immune system.

Heavy Metals are known to be toxic to the brain and can disrupt growth and development.

High levels of yeast, mold, and toxic bacteria and low minerals are all connected to symptoms associated with Autism, ADHD, and mood dysregulation in children.

Supporting gentle detoxification can help you remove toxins.

Here are some of the top natural detox methods that are gentle yet effective:

  1. Prioritize clean, whole foods with plenty of fiber to support daily elimination.

  2. Stay hydrated with filtered water to flush toxins through the kidneys.

  3. Sweat regularly through exercise or gentle sauna use (with medical clearance postpartum).

  4. Maintain regular bowel movements to prevent toxin reabsorption.

  5. Support gut health with probiotics and natural pre-biotics (just eat veggies!).

  6. Deep breathing and stress reduction to decrease the burden on the adrenals.

  7. Get good sleep, since the body does most of its repair and detox overnight.

  8. Reduce toxin exposures at the source by choosing low-tox personal care, cleaning, and food storage products.

  9. Dry brushing - help move the lymphatic system, which removes toxins.

  10. Rebounding - also helps the lymphatic system keep moving!

A few Protocols we use for reducing our toxic burden are:

  1. Heavy Metal Detox -

    • get RID of those toxic metals

  2. CBO Protocol -

    • rebalance and heal the gut

  3. Mold Detox

  4. 21-Day Dr. Cabral Detox & elimination diet

    • essential for reseting the gut, improving toxin elimination, and for reducing stress on the body

Postpartum Depletion

If not planned for specifically, a woman’s body after pregnancy is often left depleted of key nutrients due to the demands of growing a baby, potential blood loss, breastfeeding, and stress.

Many people are aware of the importance of vitamins, but we can also be be depleted in minerals, which give the body life and energy - they run the electrical charge in your body!

To optimize your health during pregnancy, make sure you are taking a high quality Multi Vitamin & Mineral.

Hormone Imbalances

Hormone imbalances can cause complications with fertility as well as cause a host of symptoms such as:

  • Stubborn weight loss

  • Mood Swings & Irritability

  • Sleep issues

Here are some of the top reasons female hormones can become imbalanced:

  1. Chronic stress - elevated cortisol can lower progesterone and disrupt estrogen balance.

  2. Poor gut health - an imbalanced microbiome and leaky gut can impair estrogen detox and contribute to hormone imbalance.

  3. Toxin Exposure & Build Up - Many of the toxins listed above, such as BPA plastics, can act as endocrine disruptors and interfere with hormone production and function.

  4. Nutrient deficiencies - Lack of key nutrients can affect hormone synthesis, detox, thyroid function & much more!

  5. Thyroid dysfunction - The thyroid and sex hormones are closely linked. Low thyroid function can lead to low progesterone and irregular cycles.

  6. Poor sleep - Lack of sleep can disrupt the circadian rhythm and the balance of cortisol, melatonin, and sex hormones.

  7. Over-exercising or under-eating - each person’s body type is different and some people can fast or eat less than others. Lack of key macronutrients or micronutrients can effect estrogen and progesterone levels.

Gut Imbalances

Your digestive system does more than break down food - it impacts your immunity, energy, and even your mood.

You may have heard of the gut-brain axis, it’s the hot topic these days! The truth is that many gut imbalances have been overlooked by conventional care, yet they can have far reaching effects on our health.

The most common issues causing gut imbalances are:

1. Bacterial or Yeast (such as Candida) overgrowth

2. Parasites or Toxic bacteria

3. Toxic Exposure (metals, pesticides, plastics)

4. Chronic Stress

Healing the gut is key to restoring optimal health.

The good news:

Your gut wants to heal. You just need the right support.

Here’s where to start:

1. Remove inflammatory foods

2. Support digestion (enzymes)

3. Rebalance yeast (Candida) or Bacterial imbalances

4. Clear out toxic bacteria & parasites

5. Repair the gut lining

6. Support with probiotics
